With all of my travels I have already visited all of the lower 49 united states, with the exception of the most unique state in the United States; Hawaii! I was so excited to have been invited to an educational training session to Kauai, HI where I would get the opportunity to visit my 50th and the final state of the United States. With that said Kauai has taken my breath away and it is officially a destination I will have in my heart forever.
I have visited many destinations throughout the years, as of this writing I have visited over 65 countries and counting. And yet when I visited Kauai in 2019, the island and its beauty took my breath away. I will even admit, at different points of time just gazing into the natural wonders of the island and learning more about the history of how the island became what it is today it brought tears to my eyes; beautiful tears of awe that I had the opportunity to experience this beauty.
Exploring Kauai by Land
Kauai is the oldest island of the main Hawaiian Islands and it is one of the most unique islands out there. We set out on our first few days by land to see what the island has to offer. During this time I tried many of the ground excursions and visited multiple hotels and resorts to see which resorts are right for which travelers.
Exploring Kauai by Air
The second method of seeing this beautiful island was one of my favorite. We were able to visit and explore her by air! The commentary by our helicopter pilot with beautiful views was simply unforgettable. Words cannot describe the 1-hour flight we took so you will simply have to see it for yourself! We even got a chance to fly over Jurassic Falls!
Exploring the Island by Sea
Our third method of exploring Kauai was by sea! And I must say we did save the best for last! We hopped onto our catamaran for our Napali Sunset Cruise. Onboard this catamaran we sailed through the coastline of the Napali Coast while we watched the colors of the coastline change as the sun sunk into the ocean. We had so much fun onboard this sailing and I took so many photos but I do not think it was able to capture the natural beauty that is the Napali Coast.
If you ask me about flowers, all I can tell you is I have absolutely no idea aside from some are beautiful and some are not. Throughout my trip through Kauai, I must say that I have seen some of the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen in my life. I took some photos of the most unique flowers, let me know what you think.
And finally.. the boring part
This trip may look like all we did was go on vacation, but what I did in 5 days is what normal travelers would take 7-12 days to complete. From early morning classes to long days with a schedule to the minute to ensure we see everything and of course our graduation class. This was truly an unique, educational, fun, and unforgettable experience!
I want to thank the Kauai Visitors Bureau for giving me this once in a lifetime opportunity to learn and experience this beautiful island so I can begin sending more travelers to visit her! If you would like to learn more about Kauai or if you would like for me to help you plan your next visit to Kauai or it’s neighboring islands, please feel free to contact me.
